Hwang Hee-chan, along with Pedro Neto, is the talk of the town at Wolves right now, and Darren Bent has stated that he has always rated the 27-year-old.
Hwang scored his fifth Premier League goal of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Hwang equaled his best season tally for Wolves, thanks to another assist from his partner in crime Neto.
The South Korean is performing admirably right now.
He is not only scoring goals, but he is also working exceptionally hard for the club.
Gary O’Neil talked on talkSPORT yesterday and commended Hwang for his form and acumen in understanding the Wolves’ system.
And just before his manager praised him, there was praise from host Darren Bent…
Darren Bent really impressed by Wolves star Hwang Hee-chan
Hwang was always likely to be discussed during the chat on talkSPORT.
He’s on a roll right now, with just Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak, and Heung-min Son scoring more goals in the league so far.
With a shot conversion percentage of 63%, Hwang is the most clinical player in the league, according to the BBC Sport top scorers page.
That is an incredible statistic, and Bent is well aware of Hwang’s talent.
“Someone who has really stepped up for you and scored in this game is Hwang,” he told O’Neil. He had three last season. This season, he’s already has five in eight. What changes have you made to his game to get him to start firing? He’s a serious player. I’ve always rated him and thought he was great.
I’ve always rated him, I’ve always thought he’s good. This season, he really seems to have stepped up.”

Hwang has always been a fantastic player.
When he originally signed, fans were blown away since he scored four goals in his first six Premier League games.
Hwang then went on a really long scoring streak. His next goal, against Arsenal in February, would be his final of the season.
He sustained a hamstring injury, which hampered his progress. In addition, their team had numerous bad spells.
The following season, the wolves struggled for the most part, and Hwang was injured again. He also appeared to be lacking in confidence.
But he’s at a fantastic place right now. So far, he’s managed to stay mostly fit, and he clearly enjoys playing for O’Neil.
Hopefully, these factors will remain so that Hwang may maintain his excellent form.
