The New York Mets have just experienced one of the most humiliating collapses in recent memory, and they now have the whole offseason to attempt to redeem themselves. One thing that must be done is to locate the final outfielder to join Juan Soto and Brandon Nimmo.
According to Christopher Kline of Fansided, the Mets can find a solution by trading for All-Star Steven Kwan from the Cleveland Guardians.

“The New York Mets desperately need outfield depth. Brandon Nimmo and Juan Soto will be the daily starts until further notice, but New York has yet to find a third consistent starter. Starling Marte is a liability on defense. The Cedric Mullins move didn’t work out. Tyrone Taylor is not the solution. So why not dial up Cleveland, put Kwan in the lineup — whether he’s leading the second wave behind Lindor and Soto, or scraping his way on base ahead of them in the leadoff slot — and attempt to make fast work of getting beyond this nightmarish season?” Kline wrote.

In 156 games this season, Kwan hit.272/.330/.374/.705, with 11 home runs, 56 RBI, and 21 stolen bases. He also possesses a fantastic glove, having three Gold Gloves in his trophy case.

With the final outfield position a question mark, Kwan may be the answer. He has a strong bat, outstanding speed, and an excellent glove. Together with Soto and Nimmo, they might have one of the finest outfields in the National League.

Hopefully the Mets contact the Guardians, since this may be a nice deal for all parties.
