The Philadelphia Phillies have enjoyed a good run.
However, they have not won any major games during this period of their team’s existence.

Things might change dramatically next season.
Free agency begins after the MLB season ended Saturday with Game 7 of the World Series.

On Sunday, MLB revealed a list of veterans who will become free agents from each team.
The list included a whopping nine Phillies:
- Walker Buehler
- Max Kepler
- Tim Mayza
- J.T. Realmuto
- David Robertson
- Jordan Romano
- Kyle Schwarber
- Ranger Suarez
- Lou Trivino
There are a lot of guys on that list that would be great to bring back if the deal made sense.

Schwarber will have the most demand. He’s simply a designated hitter at this time, yet he recently blasted 56 home runs.
Suarez is a solid beginning pitcher.

Realmuto, despite his age, remains a competent catcher and hitter.
Kepler, Robertson, and Buehler have all had memorable moments in their MLB careers.
Philadelphia will most likely try to keep one or two players from this list, but not all of them.

That implies there will be new Phillies in 2026. That will be exciting. But first, these free agency newcomers appear to be something easily overlooked.
