Kyle Schwarber may leave the Philadelphia Phillies as a free agent.
Schwarber is one of the best free agents available this season after completing his four-year, $79 million contract. The slugger delivered the Phillies terrible news about a possible comeback and is being pursued by multiple organizations.
Schwarber stated that he has been speaking with his hometown team, the Cincinnati Reds, and that he wants to spend more time at home while at an event in Middleton, Ohio.
“I attended games here as a child. I grew up watching a lot of games while sitting in the bleachers, so I imagine the child would be thrilled. “Your hometown team is calling,” Schwarber remarked. “But you always have to listen and keep different options open and let’s see what happens because you are in the profession and know a little bit more about the ins and outs.”

Schwarber made an interesting remark, indicating that he is interested in returning home and that the Reds are showing interest in him.
Schwarber demonstrated the power of his bat last season with the Phillies, hitting.240 with 56 home runs and 132 RBIs. He has won the Silver Slugger Award once and been an MLB All-Star three times.
What is Schwarber Expected to Get in Free Agency?

One of the best free agents available, Schwarber will sign a huge contract this offseason.
According to ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel, the slugger is the eighth-ranked free agent and is expected to sign a four-year, $128 million contract.
McDaniel stated, “I polled the industry on Schwarber’s deal, and expectations are roughly around four years at $30 million per year, though both figures could end up a bit higher.” “Schwarber reached career highs with 56 home runs, a.323 isolated power (slugging minus batting average), and a.414 xwOBA. His value will be somewhat lower than you might anticipate for those power figures because he has only appeared in 13 games over the last two seasons and is a designated hitter who will shortly turn 33.

If I were to provide figures for those three-, four-, and five-year forecasts, they would be roughly $115 million ($38.3 AAV) for three years, $128 million ($32 AAV) for four years, or $135 million ($27 AAV) for five years. In Schwarber’s opinion, I would most likely accept the four-year contract.
Schwarber’s market should be strong because, despite being more of a DH, he is still among the finest hitters in the game.
Phillies Have Made a ‘Competitive Offer’ to Schwarber
Schwarber has already received an extension offer from Philadelphia, which hopes to bring him back.
The Phillies have given Schwarber a competitive offer now that the summer has begun, according to Dave Dombrowski, president of baseball operations.

Dombrowski remarked, “Kyle is a huge part of what we’ve built here.” We made a competitive offer because we think he can contribute to this team’s identity, not just at the plate but also in the clubhouse in October. We acknowledge that the ball is now in his court.
“Kyle is needed here. However, we are not in the business of bidding against ourselves or pressuring people to make judgments. We’ve made an offer that demonstrates our dedication.
In 2016, Schwarber and the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.
