Breaking: Kansas State land ‘massive’ commitment from two ‘powerful and talented’ offensive stars

Kansas State continues to be one of the most active programs in the transfer portal as head coach Collin Klein puts his stamp on the Wildcats’ roster ahead of the upcoming season. With spring preparation on the horizon and competition across the Big 12 intensifying, Klein and his staff have moved aggressively to add experience, depth, and versatility to key positions. The approach has resulted in a massive influx of new faces, with nearly 30 transfers committing over the course of the month. The Wildcats’ latest additions reflect a clear focus on strengthening the offense, addressing both the trenches and the skill positions as the program looks to maintain its physical identity while adding more speed and playmaking ability.

The Kansas State has secured commitments from two offensive players, pushing its total to 26 transfers in the current cycle. One of those newcomers is Tyler Johnson, a 6-foot-6, 304-pound offensive lineman who arrives from Auburn. Johnson brings valuable SEC experience after spending the past three seasons with the Tigers. He entered college as a highly regarded prospect and gradually carved out a role in Auburn’s rotation. As a freshman, Johnson appeared in three games while preserving his redshirt, gaining an early introduction to the college level.

His role expanded during his second season, when he played in all 12 games and earned his first collegiate start in a matchup against Alabama A&M. That year helped establish him as a reliable presence along the offensive front. Last season, Johnson once again saw action in every game for Auburn, though much of his work came on special teams. With multiple seasons of high-level experience now behind him, Johnson will arrive in Manhattan seeking a larger role and an opportunity to compete for meaningful snaps on Kansas State’s offensive line.

The Wildcats also added speed to their receiving corps with the commitment of Brandon White, a 5-foot-8, 170-pound junior transfer from Hawaii. White is known for his quickness and ability to create separation, traits that showed up during his lone season with the Rainbow Warriors. He recorded 38 receptions for 399 yards and two touchdowns, providing a steady option in Hawaii’s passing attack.

Before his time in Honolulu, White was part of the Kentucky program, though he struggled to find consistent opportunities on the field there. Now at Kansas State, White will look to translate his production into a larger role within Klein’s offense. Together, Johnson and White represent the Wildcats’ continued effort to blend experience, athleticism, and upside as they reshape the roster for the season ahead.
