When the NFL’s legal free-agency tampering period began Monday at noon EST, Philadelphia quickly saw several key departures. First, former Eagles and Miami Dolphins pass rusher Jaelan Phillips agreed to a four-year, $120 million deal with the Carolina Panthers, according to Schefter. Later, linebacker Nakobe Dean signed a three-year, $36 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, reuniting with former Georgia teammate Quay Walker, as reported by NFL insider Jordan Schultz. By Monday evening, safety Reed Blankenship was set to join the Houston Texans on a three-year, $24.75 million deal, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. On offense, wide receiver Jahan Dotson is expected to head to the Atlanta Falcons. None of these agreements can be finalized until the new league year and free agency officially open Wednesday at 4 p.m. EST.

Looking ahead, The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane notes that Jihaad Campbell, the Eagles’ 2025 first-round pick (No. 31 overall) from Alabama, is expected to replace Dean at inside linebacker. The team could face additional roster changes, as NBC Sports’ Matthew Berry reports the Eagles “will definitely be moving on” from veteran tight end Dallas Goedert. Meanwhile, the ongoing situation with A.J. Brown may remain unresolved until after the 2026 NFL Draft in April or possibly after June 1, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
