Momentum continues to build in Chapel Hill as the basketball program wastes no time capitalizing on transfer portal opportunities. With the offseason in full swing, the coaching staff has been aggressive in identifying experienced talent capable of making an immediate impact. That urgency is reflected not only in their recruiting success, but also in the creative way head coach celebrates each new addition.
The Tar Heels had already made noise late Friday night by landing a commitment from an Oklahoma State transfer, and they didn’t slow down heading into Saturday. Another key addition quickly followed, further strengthening a roster that is clearly being reshaped with purpose and experience in mind.
Following an official visit to North Carolina, the newest addition wasted little time making her decision. The 6-foot-2 forward from Lower Plenty, Victoria, Australia, is set to spend her final collegiate season in Chapel Hill after beginning her career at Syracuse Orange women’s basketball. With three years of experience already under her belt, she arrives as a seasoned presence ready to contribute right away.
There’s plenty to appreciate about what she brings to the court. One of her biggest strengths lies in her familiarity with the ACC. Having played 92 games and started 65 during her time at Syracuse, she understands the physicality, pace, and demands of conference play. That level of experience is invaluable for a team looking to stay competitive in one of the toughest leagues in college basketball.
Consistency is another defining part of her game. Throughout her career, she has reliably produced between 11 and 13 points per game, while also contributing close to six rebounds per outing. In addition, her ability to chip in with assists and generate steals highlights her well-rounded skill set and versatility on both ends of the floor.

With the departure of Indya Nivar due to graduation, there is a clear need for someone who can step into a significant role. This latest addition appears well-suited to help fill that gap, offering both experience and steady production. The Tar Heels are confident that she will play a key role as they continue building toward the upcoming season.
