Kentucky basketball head coach Mark Pope and his staff continue to push hard on the recruiting trail, extending a new offer to Class of 2027 five-star small forward after an impressive performance at Nike EYBL Session II in Memphis.
A 6-foot-7, 190-pound prospect from Arizona, is quickly emerging as one of the top players in his class. He is currently ranked No. 14 nationally, the No. 5 small forward in the 2027 class, and the No. 3 overall player in the state of Arizona according to the 247Sports Composite.

Pope and the Kentucky coaching staff were in attendance during Friday’s EYBL action and saw Henry shine in person, as he erupted for 25 points and continued to build momentum on the national stage. Shortly after that showing, Kentucky made its interest official by offering the talented wing.
“After a great conversation with Coach Mark Pope, I’m thankful to receive an offer from the University of Kentucky,” Henry posted on social media.
Henry entered Session II already performing at a high level on the EYBL circuit. During Session I, he averaged 16.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 48.6 percent from the floor.

With the offer, Kentucky becomes Henry’s first traditional blue-blood program to get involved as his recruitment continues to gain national traction. Other programs that have extended offers include Oregon, Ohio State, Washington, BYU, LSU, USC, Arizona State, and Oklahoma State.
Henry is also the son of the late former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, who played six seasons in the NFL after starring collegiately at West Virginia.
