Auburn football welcomed several top recruits to campus for an important recruiting event. Among the notable ones was 5-star wide receiver, one of the most highly coveted prospects in the country.
He hails from Alexander City, Alabama—just about 30 minutes from Auburn—is currently ranked No. 18 nationally and the No. 3 wide receiver in the 2026 class. He’s also the No. 2 overall player in the state.
Top star used the opportunity to observe how the receivers and quarterbacks were being coached. Although he’s no stranger to Auburn’s campus, this time he paid close attention to the details of player development and scheme.
“I was watching how the players are coached, the plays being called,” Morgan told Auburn Rivals. “Seeing how they find ways to get the ball to their guys, how they create separation and get open—that stood out.”
Auburn wide receivers coach Marcus Davis has been building a relationship with Morgan since his freshman year, and that bond has only grown stronger. It’s a key reason why the Tigers are firmly in the mix for his commitment.
“I think that relationship and communication with Coach Davis will always be strong,” Morgan said. “Even if I don’t choose Auburn, I know I can always talk to him about anything.”
Despite his strong connection to Auburn, the Tigers will face tough competition. Morgan is planning official visits to Alabama, Colorado, Clemson, Georgia, and Florida this summer, alongside another visit to Auburn. He’s aiming to announce his decision on July 2 after completing his visits.
