He stepped into a starting role for the Bills’ defense this season and made a strong impact. He ranked third on the team in total tackles with 89 and tied for the team lead in interceptions with two. His first career pick came during a Week 3 Monday Night Football matchup against the Jaguars.
Hamlin also came up big in the postseason, forcing a crucial fumble on Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson that led to a Bills touchdown in the Divisional Round.
Starting the 2024 season less than two years removed from his cardiac arrest in 2023, Hamlin took great pride in what he achieved and is eager to build on it moving forward.
“Last year felt like I was taking the training wheels off,” Hamlin said. “To go from literally dying on the field to returning in a major role—starting, playing a full season again—it was all about rediscovering myself. I feel like I had a lot of success, and now I’m excited to see how far I can take it this year as I continue to grow into the player I want to be.”
