Auburn football added a familiar name from the transfer portal. Former Liberty defensive lineman announced his commitment to the Tigers on social media, rejoining head coach Hugh Freeze and returning to the program where his college career originally began.
He played four seasons at Liberty after starting his career at Auburn in 2020. Rated as a four-star recruit, he only played in one game during his freshman year, taking the field in Auburn’s Citrus Bowl loss to Northwestern.
Throughout his time at Liberty, Hardy recorded 54 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two sacks, and three pass deflections. At Auburn, he will bring valuable experience to an interior defensive line that features four true freshmen.

He is Auburn’s second transfer addition to the interior defensive line since the 2024 season, following Dallas Walker IV, who transferred from Western Kentucky.
