Breaking News: Bills Officially Cut Josh Allen Key Weapon From Team

Having a league MVP like Josh Allen can forever impact the life of any NFL pass catcher. However, it has not had the desired impact on former first-round tight end of the Buffalo Bills.

Despite a promising start to his career, Kincaid suffered in 2024 as his size and opponents adjusted to his general athleticism. Now, as he prepares for his third NFL season, he must demonstrate that his output is comparable to his rookie season rather than his sophomore one.

At least that’s what NFL reporter Ronnie Eastham suggests.

“Dalton Kincaid established multiple rookie records in 2023, laying the groundwork for a spectacular breakout last season. Unfortunately, the breakout never occurred. Kincaid had the second most targets on the team, trailing only receiver Khalil Shakir, but he only caught 44 passes for 448 yards and two scores,” Eastham added. “For Kincaid, entering his third year, this is a make-or-break season.

“Making that leap in productivity and reliability would be a huge boost to an already potent offense, but another down year and he could become a cut candidate in 2026.”

Wait a second. Will Buffalo cut a cheap, youthful starter who is still on his rookie contract?

That’s crazy.

It is also extremely impossible.

It’s awful in theory that Kincaid has arrived for Bills-organized offseason exercises looking exactly the same as he did last season. Some believe he has not gained enough muscle mass as Buffalo had wanted.

However, there is still a long time until the 2025 season begins. That implies he has plenty of time to get where he needs to be over the next few months.

And eventually?

The choice will be made on whether to re-sign him. I’m not sure whether to cut him.
