The Baltimore Ravens now have their 2025 schedule, and it kicks off with a Sunday Night Football showdown in Week 1 on the road against the Buffalo Bills.
Last season, the Bills knocked the Ravens out of the playoffs, giving Baltimore plenty of time to reflect on that defeat. They’ll be aiming to start the new season by settling the score.
Ravens star linebacker Roquan Smith has already addressed the upcoming matchup, issuing a warning to Buffalo and making it clear that he’s focused on avenging that playoff loss.
During an appearance on the NFL Network’s schedule release show, Roquan Smith didn’t hesitate to deliver a strong message to the Ravens’ Week 1 opponent.
“You want to start the season off right, and that first game sets the tone,” Smith said. “Revenge is best served cold. It’ll feel good to go up to Buffalo and get a little payback for how last season ended. They earned that win, no doubt, but that loss stuck with us all offseason. We’ve used it as fuel, because we know we have everything we need to be the best team in the league.”
Roquan Smith and the Ravens wrapped up the 2024 season with a 12-5 record, claiming the AFC North title and firmly establishing themselves as serious Super Bowl contenders.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson had a career-best year, completing 66.7% of his passes for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. He also added 915 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

Right before the NFL schedule was released, the Baltimore Ravens made a significant roster move by finalizing a new deal with star running back Derrick Henry. The team agreed to a two-year, \$30 million contract extension to keep the veteran in the backfield.
Roquan Smith was a standout performer for the Ravens throughout the 2024 NFL season. In 16 games, he racked up 154 tackles, along with 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, an interception, and four pass breakups.
With Week 1 on the horizon, anticipation is building. Fans are in for an exciting showdown when Baltimore and Buffalo face off to kick off the season.
