Breaking News: Done Deal!! Braves Confirms Intriguing Deal For Another Top Experienced Star

The Atlanta Braves have signed right-handed pitcher to a major contract and assigned him to Double-A Columbus, per the team’s transaction page.

Top star, 30, brings three years of MLB experience, having debuted with the Kansas City Royals in 2022. He split the 2023 season between the Royals and Chicago Cubs, appearing in 71 combined games. Last year, he pitched for both the Cubs and Toronto Blue Jays. Before his release by the Phillies on May 1, 2025, Cuas was pitching at the Triple-A level.

Known for his lower arm angle delivery, he gained attention earlier in his career for working as a FedEx delivery driver during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Across 132 MLB games and 119.2 innings, Cuas holds a 4.37 ERA and a 4.81 xFIP, with a solid strikeout rate of over 22%. However, he struggled in Triple-A this season with a noticeable drop in strikeouts and a rise in walks.

The Braves hope that a fresh start in their organization can help Cuas regain his form and potentially earn a return to the major leagues.
