Breaking News: Arkansas Lands Huge Commitment For Another Top Physically Talented Star

Chaminade-Madonna offensive lineman announced his commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks via a post on his X account.

Top prospect becomes the 15th commitment in head coach Sam Pittman’s 2026 recruiting class, which currently sits at No. 15 nationally according to the 247Sports Composite.

Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 295 pounds, he received his offer from Arkansas back in January and made an unofficial visit to Fayetteville at the start of spring practices. Offensive line coach Eric Mateos has been recruiting nationwide and prioritized Walker, even making an in-home visit with his family in early May.

Walker is scheduled to return to Arkansas for an official visit from June 13–15, joining other O-line targets like Houston commit Troy Pless and Utah native Mataalii Benjamin.

Though ranked as a lower-end three-star recruit, Walker boasts an impressive offer sheet that includes Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Pitt, UCF, Syracuse, and South Florida. He’s currently rated the No. 1,205 overall prospect in the 2026 class, the No. 100 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 151 player in Florida.

Before committing to the Razorbacks, Walker took unofficial visits to Kentucky, Syracuse, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt.

Arkansas Razorbacks 2026 Commits

Here’s a cleaned-up summary that includes the current Arkansas 2026 commitments and the context of their recent recruiting history:

Arkansas 2026 Commitments (as of now):

  • DE Colton Yarbrough
  • QB Jayvon Gilmore
  • WR Dequane Prevo
  • OL Tucker Young
  • TE Jaivion Martin
  • TE Kade Bush

  • DL Ari Slocum

  • DL Carnell Jackson
  • OL Ashley Walker

Head coach Sam Pittman has assembled a promising 2026 class with 15 early commitments, including several key trench players and skill position standouts. This group has helped Arkansas rise into the top 15 nationally in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.

Notably, Arkansas hasn’t signed a top 25 high school recruiting class since 2022, when Pittman brought in a strong in-state haul highlighted by multiple 4-star prospects and paired it with a top-10 transfer portal class. The current 2026 cycle represents a potential turning point, especially if the Razorbacks can hold onto their core group and land a few more high-profile targets this summer.

Arkansas coaches are preparing to host several official visit weekends throughout the next month for rising high school seniors, providing a major opportunity to boost their spot in the recruiting rankings.

Key targets like wide receiver Chase Campbell, linebackers JJ Bush and Braxton Lindsey, defensive linemen Dereon Albert and Anthony Kennedy, and offensive lineman Bryce Gilmore are expected to visit in the coming weeks. If the Razorbacks can secure commitments from these players, it would significantly raise their average player rating to around 88.50, putting them in the conversation for a top-25 recruiting class by December.

On the field, Arkansas allowed 36 sacks in 2024, which ranked 12th in the SEC and 114th nationally—a minor improvement from the previous year. Since Sam Pittman took over as head coach in 2020, the offensive line has struggled with pass protection, giving up 34 sacks in 2020 (No. 120 FBS), 30 in 2021 (No. 80), 31 in 2022 (No. 82), and a staggering 47 sacks in 2023 (No. 128).
