Bryce Harper is 32 years old, but he appeared much older in the most recent viral photo of him.
MLB’s official X page released a photo of Philadelphia Phillies standout Harper this week as part of a cross-promotion with the upcoming “How To Train Your Dragon” film. Harper’s arrival, rather than the promo, drew everyone’s attention.
Fans couldn’t believe how different and older Harper looked in the photo. Some joked, while others simply voiced their disbelief. Take a look below.
That photo could have simply been a result of an awkward angle and poor lighting. But it’s safe to say Harper didn’t look his best there.
Harper, the former NL MVP, is still looking fantastic on the field, however. While Harper is only batting.258 overall for the Phillies this season, he has nine home runs, 34 RBIs, and eight stolen bases in his first 57 games.
Harper, meanwhile, is currently on the injured list due to a problematic wrist ailment. Perhaps he will look more enthusiastic when he returns to the field for Philadelphia.
