Breaking news: Stunning Recruit!! Auburn confirms Blockbuster Commitment For a Top Talented 5-star Player

Over the weekend, Auburn football confirmed its most important in-state recruit for the 2026 cycle: five-star wide receiver. Hailing from Alexander City, Alabama, he is the top-ranked recruit in the state and the No. 2 wide receiver nationally in his class.

The Tigers rolled out the red carpet and won over top star, leveraging their deep group of in-state receivers to help recruit him peer-to-peer. While Auburn’s wide receiver room is already full of talent, top star doesn’t see that as a drawback.

“Anywhere I go, nobody’s going to give up their spot,” Morgan told Auburn Rivals. “So you got to go out there and work for it. I feel like with their receiver room, you come in here, it’s going to make you work even harder. I know all the guys outside of football—we’re cool, got a very good connection. I just feel like on the field it’s going to be even better. We’re going to push each other to surpass each other and stuff like that.”

Morgan has been recruited by Auburn wide receivers coach Marcus Davis since his freshman year of high school, establishing a close relationship over the years. Head coach Hugh Freeze has also made Morgan a top priority, even joining the wideout and his family for dinner during the visit weekend to further emphasize how important he is to the program.

Cederian Morgan, Class of 2026 wide receiver of Benjamin Russell High school in Alexander City, Alabama runs a route during the 2024 Dabo Swinney Football Camp in Clemson in Clemson June 5, 2024.

So far, Morgan has taken official visits to Georgia, Florida, and Colorado, and he’s scheduled to wrap up his final trip next weekend in Tuscaloosa with Alabama. He plans to announce his commitment on July 2.

While Morgan admits it’s going to be a tough choice, many view it as a classic Iron Bowl recruiting battle between Auburn and Alabama.
