Major Breaking: Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes Controversy As NFL Resolves Dispute

We enjoy lists around here, mainly because they spark a lot of discussion, and Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills is always on the list of the best quarterbacks in football.

It’s interesting to see where everyone rates the quarterbacks, but Allen has been named among Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and even Jalen Hurts.

Where did Allen fall on Fox Sports’ rating of what they perceive to be the top 10 football quarterbacks?

Fox Sports placed him at the top of the mountain as the reigning MVP.

“Being ranked ahead of Mahomes says a lot,” according to Fox Sports. “Although he hasn’t yet defeated Mahomes in the postseason, Allen’s arm and legs were reliable last season. Allen passed for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns in 2024, even though he had no top target after Stefon Diggs left for Houston.

He rushed for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns, adding another twist to the Buffalo Bills’ attack with his ability to scramble and utilize designed runs. Although Allen has surpassed all statistical targets in his seven-year career, a Super Bowl ring would enable him to join an even more elite group of players.

So, it’s resolved, correct? No. Not precisely.

However…

Like Lamar, the only thing lacking from Allen’s CV is a Super Bowl victory.

We believe that would round out his resume and advance him into the discussion as possibly one of the greatest ever. But when the playoffs arrive, he will probably need to defeat his archenemy, Mahomes, in order to accomplish that.

It’s not good to be 0–4, and Allen probably won’t ever be on the plus side of the ledger. However, if he wins the team’s first-ever Super Bowl, things could turn around.

Allen is regarded as one of the finest and is ranked first going into 2025, but if he loses in the playoffs again, it won’t matter much. Allen will be seen completely differently if he wins that Super Bowl ring and is considered the best quarterback in sports.
