JUST IN: “His Entire Season Is In Question” Bills Receive Devastating Injury News To Star

As in previous years, the Buffalo Bills will enter the 2025 season with the same goal in mind: to win the Super Bowl. The team expects to contend for a championship as long as Josh Allen is under center.

However, the club had some worrying injury news to reveal just before the start of the season.

“His Entire Season Is In Question” Bills Receive Devastating Injury News To Star (Report)

The Buffalo Bills released a concerning injury update regarding Khalil Shakir prior to their first preseason game the following weekend:

Khalil Shakir will be out for four to five weeks due to a severe ankle sprain, according to a report earlier today by Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, head coach Sean McDermott acknowledged the injury and stated Shakir is “week to week.”

Next Saturday, the Bills will play their first game of the preseason at home against the New York Giants (1:00 p.m. EST). They will visit the Chicago Bears on August 17 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 23 to conclude the preseason.

Following a successful 2024 season, Khalil Shakir agreed to a four-year contract extension that may total up to $60.2 million. With 76 receptions for 821 yards and four touchdowns, Shakir contributed to Josh Allen’s first MVP victory.

Shakir has caught 33 passes for 340 yards and two scores in seven postseason games, demonstrating his productivity as well.

The 2025 season will begin on September 7 when Shakir’s Bills play Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on “Sunday Night Football.” This will be a replay of Buffalo’s exciting Divisional Round matchup from the previous season, which they won 27–25.

We’ll keep an eye on Shakir’s injury status week by week to see if Allen could be missing his best pass-catcher against a frugal Baltimore defense.
