SAD NEWS: Orioles confirm another key starter has suffered a ‘mysterious’ injury in painful setback

The Baltimore Orioles faced a daunting task in their series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers. After the Dodgers removed Tyler Glasnow in favor of Shohei Ohtani on the mound, Baltimore’s chances did not look promising. However, Orioles pitcher Dean Kremer got off to a strong start versus Los Angeles. However, Tony Mansolino had to take him out after three innings.

Kremer experienced some discomfort early on, but fought through it. He went three innings without giving up a hit or a run against one of the league’s most dynamic offenses. However, Mansolino’s starting was unable to progress farther in the game.

Matt Weyrich of the Baltimore Sun said that there were no specifics about the pitcher’s ailment.

“Dean Kremer is coming out of this game. Dietrich Enns replaced the Orioles’ starter after three scoreless innings against the Dodgers. “No word yet on a specific injury,” Weyrich said.

Further reports confirmed Kremer’s right forearm soreness, according to Weyrich.

Ohtani has performed well on the mound since Dave Roberts gave him the green light earlier this season. However, the National League MVP candidate found himself in a pitching war with Kremer. When Enns entered the game in the fourth inning, the Dodgers offense was able to attack the young reliever. The Orioles are most concerned about Kremer’s situation.

Baltimore’s season has not lived up to expectations. However, Orioles veterans have expressed how crucial the remainder of the season is to the squad. Finding athletes like Kremer who can contribute to the 2026 roster is what Mansolino and his coaching team have prioritized this season.

The Orioles’ medical personnel took Kremer into the clubhouse to determine what was wrong with the starting pitcher. Baltimore supporters can only wait and hope that the pitcher’s injury is not serious.
