The 2025 regular season is nearing its conclusion, and Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper recently shared his thoughts on how things have unfolded.

Speaking with Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, Harper said he’s satisfied with the way the season has played out, despite missing over three weeks due to right wrist inflammation.

“I’m happy with it. Obviously, being out with the wrist and then coming back not really knowing how it would feel—it’s not the kind of season I’d want to have every year. But right now, I’ll take it,” Harper explained.

He added, “I just want to finish strong over these last three weeks and carry that into October. I love the postseason, the spotlight, the big moments. I’m really looking forward to it.”

In 119 games this year, Harper has posted 25 homers, 70 RBIs, and an .852 OPS. Baseball Savant also places him in the 91st percentile for Batting Run Value.

Although his usual numbers are a bit lower this season, Bryce Harper has still been a crucial part of the Phillies thanks to his consistency, mindset, and leadership. At 32 years old, he’s focused on being the best teammate possible as Philadelphia pushes for its first World Series appearance since 2022.

“At the end of the day, I’m still me, whatever that means,” Harper said. “Every night I just go out there and try to be Bryce. I know any game could be special. As long as I play good baseball and handle my job, that’s what really counts.

“When it becomes about me or about one guy, that’s when things break down. We don’t want that. This is a big team, and we enjoy playing together. We’re all pulling in the same direction, and it’s been a lot of fun.”

The Phillies enter the stretch run at 87-60, sitting atop the National League East.
