BLOCKBUSTER COMMITMENT!! Auburn Officially Lands Top Talented Big Offensive Line Man From Transfer Portal

With Auburn entering the offseason facing a major rebuild up front, head coach Alex Golesh and his staff knew the offensive line had to be a top priority. The Tigers were set to return only three scholarship offensive linemen, leaving a glaring need for experience, depth, and long-term developmental pieces in the trenches. As a result, Auburn turned aggressively to the transfer portal — and that strategy paid off again.

Auburn landed a significant interior presence with the commitment of former Miami offensive lineman, adding another much-needed body to a position group undergoing a complete overhaul. Plazz’s decision gives the Tigers a young, high-upside lineman who can compete now while also fitting into Auburn’s long-term plans up front.

The timing of Plazz’s entry into the portal was tied to updated NCAA transfer rules. While the standard winter transfer window ran from January 2 through January 16, players whose teams advanced to the National Championship game were granted an additional five-day window. Following Miami’s loss in the title game on January 19, Plazz entered the portal and quickly became a target for Auburn’s staff. After visiting the Plains earlier this week, he made the call to commit to the Tigers.

According to Auburn Undercover, Plazz pointed to the people around the program as the driving force behind his decision. He praised the authenticity and support he felt from the coaching staff and support personnel, noting that the respect everyone showed for Golesh made a lasting impression. Offensive line coach Tyler “Hoodie” Hudanick also played a major role, with Plazz highlighting a clear developmental plan and vision laid out specifically for his future.

Plazz also made it clear he’s eager to get started and embrace Auburn’s culture, expressing excitement about joining the program and contributing to what he called a “reload” for the Tigers.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Plazz signed with Miami as part of the Hurricanes’ 2024 recruiting class. He redshirted his first season in the program before serving as a backup during the 2025 campaign, gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level. With three years of eligibility remaining, he arrives in Auburn with time to develop and potentially grow into a major contributor along the interior offensive line.

Plazz’s commitment marks Auburn’s 35th transfer addition of the cycle, underscoring just how aggressively Golesh and his staff have attacked the portal as they reshape the roster. With the offensive line still a work in progress, Plazz represents another important step toward stabilizing the trenches and building the physical foundation Auburn believes is necessary to compete at a high level moving forward.
