Bombshell Report!! Derrick Henry Makes Bold Statement Regarding Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens boast one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses, a unit that only got more dangerous with the addition of top prospect, who signed a two-year, $30 million extension. But despite his power-back reputation, he made a bold statement about his speed—especially compared to teammate Lamar Jackson.

Appearing on The Dan Patrick Show, the 31-year-old running back claimed he’s faster than Jackson. While he acknowledged his 40-yard dash time isn’t impressive, he believes his in-game speed tells a different story. He insisted he runs faster in live action than in training or timed drills.

When Patrick asked who would win in a race between the two, Henry confidently replied, “Oh, I like me.” Though he admitted Jackson’s unofficial 40-time is quicker, Henry remains confident he’d come out on top with the ball in play.

“Some people have testing speed, and others have football speed,” Henry said. “I definitely feel like I fall into that second category. I’m faster on the field.”

Derrick Henry’s rare combination of size and speed has cemented his status as one of the NFL’s top running backs for most of his career. He’s consistently silenced critics by ranking among the league’s elite rushers year after year.

In his first season with the Ravens, the former second-round pick racked up 1,921 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on 325 carries—trailing only Eagles star Saquon Barkley in both categories.

With a dominant offensive line in Baltimore and Lamar Jackson at quarterback to help stretch defenses, Henry is set up for another standout season. After surpassing 1,000 rushing yards in each of the last three years, it’s hard to see him falling short of that milestone again.
