Ravens have confirmed a shocking update regarding four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
Jackson shares a tense exchange with the character Unique (played by Joey Bada$$), firmly asserting that he’s from New York—not New Jersey.
Lamar Jackson isn’t the only sports personality stepping into the entertainment world lately—First Take host Stephen A. Smith also recently appeared on General Hospital.
Jackson previously spoke to People about his guest role in Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 4, where he plays a character named E-Tone. He described E-Tone as “an intimidating figure not to be messed with,” adding that the role is “deadly and dangerous” and warning that “you don’t want to get on his bad side!”
Time will tell if this appearance leads to more acting opportunities for the two-time NFL MVP, especially if his performance catches the attention of the right people in the industry.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s acting debut in Raising Kanan
Lamar Jackson’s acting debut comes in Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which is currently in its fourth season on Starz. The series originally premiered on July 18, 2021.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan is a prequel and spin-off of Power, created by Sascha Penn. The series explores the early life of Kanan Stark, a character originally portrayed by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
The original Power series aired on Starz for six successful seasons. Co-created by 50 Cent and Courtney A. Kemp, it wrapped up on February 9, 2020, after nearly six years. 50 Cent remains involved in the franchise, serving as an executive producer and narrator for the prequel.
Lamar Jackson, meanwhile, is coming off a strong season with the Baltimore Ravens, finishing 12-5. He ranked sixth in the NFL in passing yards, surpassing 4,000 yards for the first time, and was tied for second in touchdown passes with 41, while only throwing four interceptions.

Despite his impressive stats, Jackson fell short of winning a third MVP award, which went to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Jackson had previously earned the honor in 2019 and 2023.
The Ravens won their Wild Card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers but narrowly lost to the Bills by two points in the Divisional Round.
Jackson was drafted 32nd overall in the 2018 NFL Draft after a standout college career at Louisville (2015–2017). He began his NFL journey as Joe Flacco’s backup but quickly took over the starting role and hasn’t looked back since.
