Right now, countless Duke basketball fans are refreshing Twitter and other platforms every few seconds, eagerly awaiting any news about Dame Sarr. On Monday, reports surfaced that Sarr was in Durham for his official visit.
After then, however, there was complete silence on any new developments. One notable moment came when Sarr removed photos from his Kansas visit on Instagram — a move that many took as a strong sign he’s leaning toward Duke.
As of now, Sarr hasn’t made any public announcement about where he plans to play next season. Duke remains the clear frontrunner, and fans are anxiously waiting to see if a commitment post will drop — possibly on Wednesday.
Duke fans everywhere are waiting for a Dame Sarr update to arrive

Before Sarr even stepped foot on campus, several predictions had already favored Jon Scheyer and his staff to land his commitment. While Kansas was initially seen as the frontrunner—especially after Sarr appeared to thoroughly enjoy his recent visit to Lawrence—Duke has significantly ramped up its recruitment efforts, putting the Blue Devils firmly in the race.
If Scheyer is able to close the deal, it would be a huge addition to Duke’s already impressive 2025 recruiting class. Sarr, a five-star prospect according to 247Sports, would join fellow five-star talents Cameron Boozer, Cayden Boozer, and Nikolas Khamenia. His commitment would give Duke four five-star recruits—more than any other program in the country.
Still, nothing is finalized. Sarr’s next move remains uncertain. The Italian prospect has spent the past three years honing his skills in Spain with FC Barcelona, but college basketball now seems to be his next destination. Will he end up in Durham? A decision could be announced at any time.
