After seeing its top three quarterbacks depart via the transfer portal, Auburn entered the offseason with an urgent need at the game’s most important position. Jackson Arnold and Deuce Knight remain uncommitted, while Ashton Daniels has moved on to Florida State.

The Tigers recently added former South Florida quarterback Locklan Hewlett, a 2025 three-star prospect who saw limited action as a true freshman, but the quarterback search didn’t stop there.

Tigers Add Experience and Mobility Under Center
As first reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Auburn has landed a former USF quarterback as a graduate transfer for the 2026 season, bringing in a signal-caller with one year of eligibility remaining and a prior connection to head coach Alex Golesh.

The veteran passer brings extensive experience, having appeared in 35 games with 32 starts, totaling 7,690 passing yards, 61 touchdown throws, and an 18–14 record. He also offers a strong dual-threat element, standing 6-foot-3 and 231 pounds with 2,265 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns.

Breakdown of the 2025 Season
The quarterback delivered his best campaign as a redshirt junior in 2025, posting career highs across the board. He completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,158 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions. As a runner, he added 1,008 rushing yards at 5.8 yards per carry and scored 14 times on the ground, helping lead his team to a 9–3 record and earning Second-Team All-AAC honors.
