Breaking: Bills QB Josh Allen Faces Backlash for Mind-blowing Offseason Decision

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is known for generously giving his time, whether it’s to support local charities or to be there for his teammates. That’s why it surprised some fans when he missed the annual charity softball game hosted by his former teammate Micah Hyde. The event, held every May to benefit Hyde’s foundation, usually features Allen — who was once even crowned the home run champ.

Allen’s absence didn’t go unnoticed. While some fans expressed disappointment, pointing out that Allen is a major draw at the event, others defended him, noting that he never officially committed to playing. A video shared by Hyde showed a jersey with Allen’s name and number, suggesting he may have originally planned to attend.

Speculation swirled about why Allen missed the game. Some fans theorized he was spending time with fiancée Hailee Steinfeld, whose film Sinners has been generating attention. Others stood up for Allen, highlighting his consistent history of supporting teammates and charitable efforts — even if he can’t be present every time.

One fan posted on social media, “The Josh Allen softball game discourse is actually embarrassing. Find some business of your own so you can find your way out of his.”

Despite skipping the softball game, Allen has been active with the team during the offseason. He attended the voluntary workouts in April and expressed excitement for the upcoming season. Reports also suggest that he and Steinfeld are preparing for a wedding at the end of May, with teammate Dion Dawkins hinting at a May 31 ceremony.

There’s no indication of any friction between Allen and Hyde. Allen publicly praised Hyde last season when he rejoined the team’s practice squad, calling him “one of my favorite humans of all time.”

If Allen returns to next year’s charity event, he’ll face stiff competition — defensive lineman DeWayne Carter took the home run derby title this year, dethroning Allen.
