BREAKING: Buffalo Bills Major Roster Boost Adds Intriguing Offensive Lineman

The Buffalo Bills made their eighth pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting offensive tackle from the University of Connecticut with the No. 206 overall pick in the sixth round.

After focusing on bolstering their defensive line and secondary, Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane turned to the offense, adding tight end Jackson Hawes in the fifth round before picking top star. The 24-year-old tackle, who played in the Senior Bowl, started 49 games during his career at UConn.

He stands tall at 6-foot-7 and weighs 305 pounds. He was incredibly durable throughout his college career, missing just one game. His strong run-blocking skills helped the Huskies achieve a program-record 2,590 rushing yards, and UConn allowed only 1.07 sacks per game, ranking 13th in the nation.

Dane Brugler from The Athletic had a fourth-round grade on Lundt and ranked him as the 10th-best tackle in the draft. Lundt didn’t allow a single sack in his final college season.

Brugler noted Lundt’s impressive athleticism, particularly as a run blocker on the move, executing pulls and cutoffs effectively. However, he mentioned that Lundt sometimes struggles to gain leverage due to his height and needs to further develop his lower body to handle NFL power. He sees Lundt as a potential swing tackle for teams that run wide-zone schemes.

Lundt played alongside current Bills swing tackle Ryan Van Demark during one season at UConn. Now, as teammates in Buffalo, the two will likely compete for a roster spot in training camp this summer.
