Kentucky football’s momentum on the recruiting trail continues to build as the program stacks early wins for its 2027 class. That strategy paid off again on Friday, as Kentucky secured another pledge to further solidify its future roster.
The Wildcats have landed a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Elijah Brown, as first reported by Hayes Fawcett, marking Kentucky’s seventh commitment in the 2027 cycle and their second addition in just one week. Brown, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 290 pounds, hails from Alabama and chose Kentucky over a strong group of programs that included Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Tulane, and several others.
According to 247Sports, Brown is rated as the No. 217 overall prospect nationally, the No. 32 defensive lineman in his class, and the No. 14 player in the state of Alabama. His recruitment gained momentum following a visit to Lexington in late March, which ultimately played a decisive role in his commitment.
Brown’s pledge highlights what has been a productive stretch for Kentucky, with multiple additions coming in a short span as the coaching staff continues to build early chemistry within the class. The Wildcats now boast a seven-player group featuring Larron Westmoreland (S), Ty Ashley (LB), Brady Hull (IOL), Matthias Burrell (IOL), Bryian Duncan Jr. (ATH), Miguel Wilson (CB), and Brown himself.
