The NBA free agency window opened days ago, and Cam Reddish, the former Duke standout, is still without a team. Now seeking a new home, the 25-year-old wing continues to draw minimal interest on the open market.
Reddish participated in a Dallas Mavericks free agent camp in June, but no contract offer followed.
His pro career has been marked by inconsistency, with Reddish bouncing between teams over six seasons. Most recently, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers, appearing in 33 games during the 2024-25 season before being waived in late March.
A lottery pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Reddish was selected 10th overall by the Atlanta Hawks after one underwhelming year at Duke. He was part of a historic draft class for the Blue Devils that saw Zion Williamson go No. 1 to the Pelicans and RJ Barrett No. 3 to the Knicks.
Despite flashes of potential—most notably a 37.9% three-point shooting stretch during the 2021-22 season—Reddish never fully found his footing in Atlanta. He was traded to the Knicks that same season to reunite with Barrett but again struggled to carve out a consistent role before being sent to Portland in 2022-23.

His stint with the Lakers included a near trade to the Hornets alongside Dalton Knecht in exchange for fellow Duke alum Mark Williams, but the deal was voided after Williams failed a physical. Reddish was later released.
Now a free agent, Reddish is hoping for a fresh start to reestablish himself as a reliable contributor in the league. With the free agent pool shrinking and teams tightening their spending, it’s uncertain whether he’ll find a roster spot ahead of the 2025-26 season.
