In February, after spending parts of two seasons with the Washington Wizards, former Duke basketball one-and-done Marvin Bagley III was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies for the rest of the season. But, as a free agent this summer, the 26-year-old big man has elected to return for next season.
In addition to the Wizards and Grizzlies, Bagley has played for the Detroit Pistons and the Sacramento Kings, who drafted him second overall in 2018 after his ACC Player of the Year season as a freshman at Duke.
In 289 NBA games, Marvin Bagley III has averaged 12.0 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 51.8 percent from the field.

However, in 31 appearances with the Wizards and Grizzlies last season, he averaged a career-low 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game, largely as a backup.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Bagley “has agreed to a one-year deal with the Washington Wizards.”
