BREAKING: Huskies Officially Land Commitment From Physically-Gifted Offensive Star

Washington has been aggressively shopping in the transfer portal for wide receivers with high upside and manageable price tags since the window opened. Despite that effort, head coach Jedd Fisch had repeatedly come up empty. A combination of factors appeared to work against the Huskies, including questions about immediate playing time, NIL considerations, and some lingering uncertainty at quarterback surrounding Demond Williams Jr. That changed on Thursday, when Fisch finally secured the “X” receiver Washington had been searching for to help replace Denzel Boston.

The Huskies landed a commitment from top wideout, giving the offense a much needed physical presence on the outside. Moss checks in at 6 foot 3 and 200 pounds and is coming off the most productive season of his college career. As a junior last fall, he hauled in 45 receptions for 689 yards and two touchdowns. He enters Washington with one year of eligibility remaining after previously spending one season at Virginia Tech and two at Kennesaw State.

Washington Huskies adding transfer WR Christian Moss from Kennesaw State

Christian Moss originally arrived on the college scene as a three star recruit out of high school. His time at Virginia Tech never fully took off, as he had a relatively quiet redshirt freshman campaign with the Hokies. Looking for a fresh start, he transferred to Kennesaw State. While his first season there did not immediately spark a breakout, he still showed progress, finishing his sophomore year with 14 catches for 203 yards and two touchdowns, more than doubling his prior production.

Last season marked a clear turning point. Added strength, increased experience, and a larger role in the offense allowed Moss to emerge as a true difference maker. He became the focal point of Kennesaw State’s passing attack and consistently delivered as a reliable target on the perimeter. For perspective, his 2025 stat line would have ranked second on Washington’s roster last season, trailing only Denzel Boston.

That context explains why the Huskies are optimistic Moss can step in and fill Boston’s vacated role as the primary “X” receiver. Beyond his production, Moss also brings valuable experience to a wide receiver room that is currently very young, with much of the talent still in its first or second year of college football.

For Washington, this commitment represents a significant win. With Moss now in the fold, Fisch can finally exhale and shift his focus to addressing other roster needs without the same level of pressure and scrutiny from the fanbase.
