Breaking: Josh Allen Sends ‘Unbelievable’ Message to Former Bills Teammate Stefon Diggs

The Buffalo Bills will see a familiar face in a new uniform this season, as Stefon Diggs has signed with the division rival New England Patriots. The 31-year-old wide receiver is coming off an ACL injury sustained last year while playing for the Houston Texans. Now, he’s back in the AFC East after a successful stint with the Bills from 2019 to 2023.

During his time in Buffalo, Diggs became Josh Allen’s go-to receiver, recording over 100 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards in each season alongside the 2024 league MVP. He’ll now look to replicate that success with Drake Maye, a promising young quarterback in New England.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Allen praised Diggs’ potential impact on Maye, whom he called one of his favorite young QBs.

“I think he gives Drake a real sense of security,” Allen said. “He’s been in the league a long time and can offer a lot of veteran guidance. Drake’s extremely talented—he’s one of my favorite young quarterbacks out there. I’ve spent time with him, and he’s got the right mindset. He does everything the right way and really embodies what football is about. Having a guy like Stefon will be a huge help for him.”

As a rookie, Maye passed for 2,276 yards and 15 touchdowns against 10 interceptions in 12 starts, while also rushing for 421 yards and two scores. However, New England lacked a strong supporting cast, particularly at receiver, and finished the season 4-13, going 3-9 in games Maye started.

The Patriots signed Diggs despite his injury, hoping he can provide the same steady presence he once did for Allen. Based on Allen’s comments, there’s confidence Diggs can be that reliable option for Maye.
