Kansas State is set to hire Missouri’s quarterbacks coach as its new offensive coordinator, a move that would complete first-year head coach Collin Klein’s inaugural coaching staff, according to a team source. ESPN first reported the expected hire Friday morning.

The assistant spent the past two seasons at Missouri, first as an offensive analyst before being promoted to quarterbacks coach. He brings nearly 20 years of coaching experience and has previously held offensive coordinator roles at multiple programs across the country.
His most notable Power Four experience came in the Big 12 during the 2019 season, when Oklahoma State averaged 32.5 points and 453.9 yards per game while finishing with an eight-win campaign. That season helped establish him as a respected offensive mind with experience in multiple systems.

The expected hire is Sean Gleeson, who has also called plays at Rutgers and Princeton in addition to his stop at Oklahoma State. His background includes working with quarterbacks at several programs and developing offenses in both the Big Ten and Big 12.

It remains unclear whether Gleeson will handle play-calling duties at Kansas State or if Klein will retain that role himself. Klein, who previously served as offensive coordinator at Texas A&M, has said he is open to calling plays depending on staff structure and game-planning needs.
