The Philadelphia Eagles officially concluded their 2025 organized team activities (OTAs) on Thursday, and by all accounts, the sessions went smoothly. The team appears well-positioned to build on the momentum from their Super Bowl 59 victory.
While several returning players drew plenty of attention during OTAs, some of the Eagles’ offseason acquisitions also made strong impressions. One standout was new cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, who seems to be lining up for a significant role this season.
Adoree’ Jackson Quickly Making an Impact in Philadelphia
Philadelphia added several veteran players on one-year deals after the start of free agency, with Jackson among the most notable. Following the departures of Darius Slay and James Bradberry, the Eagles needed experienced help in the secondary, and Jackson has stepped in to fill that void.
The former first-round pick, who spent last season primarily in a reserve role with the New York Giants, viewed this opportunity with the Eagles as a chance to revitalize his career. So far, he’s making the most of it.
NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark reported on May 28 that Jackson has already been taking “a lot of the first-team reps” opposite rookie Quinyon Mitchell—a strong indicator that the coaching staff views him as a potential starter.
If Jackson maintains his form through minicamp and training camp, Sports Illustrated’s John McMullen believes he’s likely to carve out a meaningful role in the Eagles’ secondary.

With Slay and Bradberry gone, leadership in the cornerback room is needed—and Jackson could be the veteran presence to fill that gap. If he continues trending upward, his impact could be a key factor in helping Philadelphia deliver on their current +750 odds (tied for best) to win Super Bowl 60, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
