The Auburn football program has shockingly added a quarterback to its 2026 recruiting class.
On X, Hayes Fawcett of On3 Recruits revealed on Thursday that 4-star quarterback Peyton Falzone has switched from Penn State to Auburn football. Falzone, a native of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, has been a member of the Nittany Lions since early April after receiving an offer from the Tigers earlier this month. Falzone will now play football for Auburn, which seems to come out of nowhere.
Falzone is currently ranked No. 183 nationally and the No. 11 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class by 247 Sports. He also stands as the No. 4 overall prospect from his home state. Earlier this spring, while still committed to Penn State, he took official visits to Penn State, Utah, and Iowa.
According to Auburn Undercover, Falzone has put up impressive numbers over the past two high school seasons, throwing for 4,663 yards and 42 touchdowns, while adding 1,137 rushing yards and 19 rushing scores. He’s only thrown eight interceptions and has maintained a 57 percent completion rate.

Securing a quarterback in the 2026 class is a major win for Auburn, especially as the program has faced recent recruiting setbacks, losing three commitments to nearby schools. With a QB now in the fold, the Tigers could regain momentum heading into the season. Auburn’s 2026 recruiting class currently has seven commits and is ranked No. 77 nationally.
