Breaking News: Auburn Major Update Regarding Chad Baker-Mazara

Auburn Tigers’ standout guard Chad Baker-Mazara has ignited speculation about his potential return for the 2025-26 season following the team’s recent Final Four exit. Despite being a senior, Baker-Mazara possesses an additional year of eligibility due to an NCAA waiver granted to athletes who spent time in junior college.

On Monday, Baker-Mazara took to social media, posting a collage of himself in Auburn attire with the caption “2025/26 War Eagle?” accompanied by the googly-eye emoji, suggesting a possible comeback. This post came shortly after he expressed gratitude to Auburn fans, stating, “Auburn luv yall, yall have made me better as a person and player in so many ways.”

Coach Bruce Pearl has previously acknowledged Baker-Mazara’s eligibility for another season, noting, “Without any kind of appeal, Chad Baker has another year of eligibility.” Baker-Mazara’s return could significantly bolster Auburn’s lineup, given his impressive performance this season, where he averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.

As fans eagerly await an official decision, Baker-Mazara’s potential return offers a promising prospect for the Tigers’ aspirations in the upcoming season.
