Former USF offensive lineman Cole Best officially signed with Auburn on Monday, a source confirmed to AL.com. Best was a two-year starter under head coach Alex Golesh and offensive line coach Tyler Hudanick in Tampa and had been part of the Bulls’ program since 2021.

Best now becomes the 13th player to follow Golesh and his staff from USF to Auburn, as well as the Tigers’ 25th transfer addition overall. He is also the fourth offensive line transfer to join the program, reinforcing a position that remains a top priority for Auburn heading into the upcoming season.

Auburn saw massive turnover along its offensive line following the 2025 season, losing 12 contributors, including all five starters. The Tigers began addressing that void last week by signing tackles Stanton Ramil and Joseph Simmons, and the recent additions of Cole Best and former USF guard Cole Skinner further strengthen the interior.

Even with those reinforcements, Auburn is unlikely finished reshaping the offensive line. Given the extent of the losses, more additions remain possible as the Tigers continue to rebuild depth and stability up front.
