BREAKING NEWS: BILLS SIGN ANOTHER LINEBACKER TO ADD TO THEIR DEFENSIVE END

The Buffalo Bills have made a move to strengthen their defense by bringing in defensive end Justin Hollins on a one-year contract. The 29-year-old pass rusher is the latest addition to a team that’s clearly looking to add depth and experience on that side of the ball heading into the new season.

Hollins has had a bit of a winding road through the NFL in recent years. Most recently, during the 2024 season, he spent time on the Washington Commanders’ practice squad. While he didn’t get a chance to play in any games for them, he stayed involved with the team and ready for action if called upon. The season before that, in 2023, Hollins saw more action as he suited up for three different teams, the Green Bay Packers, the New York Giants, and the Los Angeles Chargers.

His most notable playing time that year came with the Chargers, where he appeared in seven games. That stretch included a matchup against the Bills in Week 16, so the team got a close-up look at him not too long ago. Over the course of the 2023 season, Hollins totaled 17 tackles and recorded one sack—solid, if not flashy, production from a rotational edge rusher.

Standing at 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 247 pounds, Hollins brings a long, athletic frame to the edge of the defense. He’s known for his work ethic and has shown enough versatility to land opportunities with multiple teams throughout his NFL journey. Originally from Arlington, Texas, Hollins will now take his talents to Western New York, where he’s expected to compete for a role in the Bills’ defensive line rotation. He’ll be wearing jersey number 52 in Buffalo.

While Hollins may not be a household name, his addition gives the Bills another experienced option on defense someone who’s been around the league, knows how to prepare, and is hungry for another shot to contribute on the field.
