BREAKING NEWS: Fenway Power Boost; Red Sox Adds Explosive Right-Handed Two-time All-Star Power And

The Boston Red Sox caught many off guard by signing Ranger Suarez after missing out on Pete Alonso and letting Alex Bregman walk in free agency. Now, the team faces pressure to make one final move that satisfies fans and positions them for contention.

According to Fansided’s Christopher Kline, Boston could take another swing in free agency by signing two-time All-Star. Suarez has been linked to the Red Sox before, and if a trade for a bat doesn’t materialize, adding him would be a logical next step.

Kline writes, “As the Red Sox search for a replacement for Alex Bregman, Eugenio Suarez might be their best option. While criticism of the front office is fair for letting it come to this, Boston clearly needs right-handed power. Suarez hit 49 home runs last season, and his career numbers at Fenway are enticing. The Sox should be able to craft a one- or two-year deal that limits the risk tied to his age and defensive limitations.”

In 2025, Suarez slashed .228/.298/.526/.824 with 28 doubles, 49 homers, and 118 RBI across 159 games. As a right-handed hitter, he could benefit from Fenway’s Green Monster, converting doubles into home runs and taking advantage of favorable launch angles.

For a team looking to be financially prudent, Suarez also makes sense. He’s expected to command a two-year, $29 million deal, but with no major market competition currently, Boston could negotiate a one-year contract with a team option for a second.

Whether through a trade or this potential signing, the Red Sox likely won’t go wrong with at least one more move this offseason.
