BREAKING NEWS: OFFICIAL DEAL! Philadelphia Eagles Secure Star Tackle with Record-Breaking Contract

The Philadelphia Eagles have set a new NFL salary benchmark by awarding star defensive tackle Jordan Davis a historic three-year, $78 million contract extension.

Entering his fifth season, Davis will earn an average of $26 million per year, making him the highest-paid defensive tackle in the league. The deal includes $65 million in guaranteed money, locking him in with the team during the prime of his career after showing steady improvement each season.

Drafted 13th overall in 2022, Davis has recorded 162 tackles, eight sacks, and 12 quarterback hits over 64 NFL games.

The extension could also influence the Eagles’ other standout tackle, Jalen Carter, who is nearing the end of his rookie deal and is expected to receive an even larger contract. Defensive teammate Moro Ojomo is also set for a potential extension as Philadelphia prepares to maintain the core of its defense ahead of the 2026 season.

Originally, Davis was slated to earn $12 million in his fifth year after the Eagles exercised his option last year. Now, his new deal makes him the league’s top-paid tackle by average salary, with only Kansas City Chiefs’ Chris Jones surpassing him.

The Eagles will aim to reclaim NFC supremacy in 2026 after an 11-6 regular season ended in a 23-19 Wild Card loss at home to the San Francisco 49ers in January.
