Top elite star, a top-10 linebacker in the 2026 class, has trimmed his college options to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. His decision sets the stage to reignite long-dormant rivalries — with Oklahoma State since 2023 and with Texas A&M dating back to 2011.

He is widely regarded as a top-10 linebacker in the 2026 class by most major recruiting services—except for Rivals, which currently ranks him No. 15. ESPN lists him as high as No. 5, while both 247Sports and On3 place him at No. 9. However, Beck is trending upward in Rivals’ rankings. According to the 247Sports Composite, the Carthage (TX) High School standout is a consensus four-star prospect, ranked as the No. 11 linebacker nationally and the No. 25 overall player in the state of Texas. Based on 247Sports’ evaluations, Beck would become the top-rated commit for both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
Oklahoma’s highest-ranked commitment so far is four-star linebacker Jakore Smith from Bryant, Arkansas, who is currently rated No. 25 at his position in the 2026 cycle. After a long stretch without any defensive commitments, the Sooners recently added three defenders in a 10-day span during May: safety Niko Jandreau, Smith, and defensive lineman Brian Harris, who pledged on May 23.
With official visits now underway, Oklahoma is expecting a surge in commitments. Many of the Sooners’ top targets are scheduled to visit Norman on June 20 for their ChampU weekend. Beck will be on campus for his official visit this Friday, having already made an unofficial trip on March 8 following his offer on February 10.
Beck previously took his official visit to Oklahoma State on April 4 and is set to visit Texas A&M on June 13. He’s also completed official visits to Arizona State and SMU.
