Breaking News: Phillies Star finally breaks silence after devastating setback

The Philadelphia Phillies have played well as a team, but outfielder Nick Castellanos hasn’t enjoyed the season he expected.

Castellanos has been an average offensive player for most of his tenure in Philadelphia, which surprised the organization when they signed him.

Castellanos has made some worrying comments about his attitude for the organization, most recently publicly criticizing skipper Rob Thomson over the weekend. At the end of the day, despite his dissatisfaction with his manager, Castellanos should not have said the things he has.

However, there have been some nice comments along the way, which should please most people, given the circumstances.

“I show up tomorrow and play a game,” Castellanos said when asked about his future plans in Philadelphia, according to Grace Del Pizzo of On Pattison. “That’s my future.”

“That would be really selfish and take away from what we’re trying to do as a group,” Castellanos told reporters.

As long as Castellanos continues to come up every day and assist his teammates, players and supporters should be able to live with anything he has to say about their captain.

It is not fair to say Thomson isn’t doing a good job or to disagree with him, but he must eventually focus on the players in the clubhouse with whom he is colleagues.

It will be intriguing to see what happens between the Phillies and Castellanos this winter, although many believe the franchise and the former All-Star are on the verge of splitting up.
