Breaking News: Texas Rangers Loses Another Top Veteran Star To a Major Devastating Injury

The Texas Rangers have moved right-handed reliever to the 15-day injured list because of right shoulder fatigue, effective retroactively. To fill the roster spot, they called up rookie right-hander Cole Winn from Triple-A Round Rock.

Top star, 38, last pitch leaving the game after throwing just one pitch in the eighth inning during the Rangers’ 4-3 home loss to the Houston Astros.

This season, he is 0-4 with one save, posting a 1.83 ERA along with three walks and 23 strikeouts across 19 2/3 innings in 22 relief appearances.

Over his career, Martin has compiled a 16-22 record with 15 saves, a 3.29 ERA, 48 walks, and 380 strikeouts in 366 1/3 innings across 391 relief appearances for seven MLB teams since 2014. In the postseason, he has a 0-1 record with one save, a 1.88 ERA, two walks, and 10 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings over 16 appearances.
