Washington is off to a strong start in the 2027 recruiting cycle, already securing seven commitments and ranking among the nation’s top 25 classes. Now, the Huskies appear poised to add another high-profile recruit, according to Roman Romashoff. Four-star edge rusher Zane Rowe is set to announce his commitment on March 13, and many top analysts believe he’s leaning toward Washington.

Rivals currently lists his Huskies commitment probability at 72.6%, with his former pledge to Oklahoma trailing at just 9.6%.
Rowe’s addition would immediately be a game-changer for Washington’s 2027 class. Rivals projects him as the top commitment in the class, with a rating of 91.79. Locking him in early would not only strengthen the roster but also likely propel the Huskies higher in the recruiting rankings, especially with more top recruits expected to follow.
A native of Little Elm, Texas, Rowe initially committed to the Oklahoma Sooners but reopened his recruitment as multiple programs entered the mix—one of which was Jedd Fisch’s Washington Huskies.
If he signs with Washington, Rowe would join Braylon Pope—the No. 1 player in Washington and a wide receiver from Sumner—as the class’s second four-star recruit. Both are considered high-ceiling talents capable of contributing immediately and elevating the team from their freshman seasons onward.
Rowe’s athleticism extends beyond the football field; according to 24/7, he also competes in basketball and track and field. As a sophomore, he recorded 75 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and four forced fumbles, numbers that underline why his stock rose so sharply last season.
The versatile edge rusher has drawn 39 offers nationwide, including recent interest from programs like Kentucky, Georgia Tech, UCLA, and Virginia Tech.
