Breaking: Oliver Marmol Makes Major Announcement Regarding Young Outfielder Jordan Walker Ahead of Trade Deadline

Jordan Walker has shown signs of improvement. He’s been hitting with more confidence and has turned in a few strong performances, including a single against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday.

This season, Walker holds a .212 batting average and has recorded multiple hits in back-to-back games—something that excites Cardinals fans who remember his standout 2023 rookie campaign, when he batted .276 with 51 RBIs.

However, 2024 was a tough year for the young slugger, as he saw his production dip to a .201 average and just 20 RBIs.

St. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol is urging fans and the organization to remain patient with young outfielder Jordan Walker, who has been struggling to find consistency. Though he showed promise in the minors and had an impressive rookie season, Walker hasn’t quite maintained that level of performance.

Still, Marmol remains confident in his potential.

“There’s a very high ceiling, which is why patience is key. I really like his current approach and mindset. That’s what gives us confidence that he’s on the right track,” Marmol told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
