Breaking: UW Officially Lands Another Commitment From the Top Rated Player in Washington

For the second consecutive year, Jedd Fisch has landed a commitment from the top-ranked player in Washington, as edge rusher has officially pledged to stay local and join the Huskies.

He has held the No. 1 spot on our Big Board since its launch—and it’s easy to see why. He’s an elite talent at a premium position, with the potential to be a high NFL Draft selection.

He checks every box as an edge prospect: impressive production (75 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks), ideal size (6’4″, 230 lbs entering his junior year), serious strength (benching 350 pounds for two reps back in May), and explosive athleticism. What truly sets him apart, though, is his versatility as a pass rusher. He can overpower offensive linemen with pure strength, but he also already has a refined swim move—something that usually requires advanced coaching to develop at this stage.

Since then, Colman-Brusa has grown even more, now measuring 6’5” and 267 pounds, reinforcing the idea that he’s physically ready to make an impact at the college level and beyond.

Recruiting Implications: Securing a commitment from the top prospect in both our rankings and likely the Huskies’ internal board is a huge win—especially this early in May. With a strong in-state talent pool this cycle, having Colman-Brusa lead the way as a peer recruiter could pay dividends, especially in attracting other top local talents like David Schwerzel and Fameitau Siale from O’Dea.
