Top star suffered the injury during a Friday night rivalry game, going down on the second play of the second half. It proved to be the last snap of his high school career. “Last Friday in our game against our rivals… I tore my ACL in the 2nd play of the 2nd half,” Walker shared on social media. “I am deeply saddened to announce that unfortunately that was my last high school football game and I will be missing the rest of the 2025-2026 football season due to injury.”

The Indiana native, who committed to Duke in April 2025, wasted no time reaffirming his loyalty to the program despite the setback. “I also want to thank the Duke football staff for their support,” he wrote. “Bull City I am 1000% invested to getting back stronger and better for you guys!”

While Walker didn’t specify whether surgery will be required, he is expected to miss the remainder of his senior season and likely enroll early at Duke in January.

Ranked the No. 34 quarterback nationally and the No. 5 overall player in Indiana, Walker chose the Blue Devils over UVA. His high school career saw him complete 172 passes for 2,685 yards and 28 touchdowns, with only six interceptions. A true dual-threat, he also added 503 rushing yards and five scores, giving Duke fans plenty of reason to be excited about his future in Durham.
