Since being selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020, top star has grown into more than just the team’s leader—he’s become a Super Bowl champion and MVP.
Over the past four years, his clutch performances in the postseason have earned widespread praise, complementing his impressive 46-20 record as a starting quarterback. Fresh off his victory in Super Bowl LIX, Hurts is now focused on refining his game as he prepares for his sixth NFL season.
“Well, it’s an adjustment period,” Hurts told NFL reporter Ed Kracz on Wednesday. “There are different things I have to handle within the organization that have evolved and changed. I think that’s just part of the reality. It’s about my discipline and focus—keeping my eyes on the main goal and staying true to it.”
After his first Super Bowl appearance in 2022, Hurts seemed overwhelmed by the growing responsibilities on his plate. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case this year.
Hurts, now a married man, is ready to keep thriving at the NFL level. That sense of clarity and focus has played a big role in his ongoing evolution as Philadelphia’s quarterback.

“It’s about maturity, growth, and development,” Hurts explained. “You’re always pushing to improve and find that next one percent.”
Philadelphia has never experienced this kind of sustained postseason success under any quarterback—something that truly sets Hurts apart. As he gears up with the goal of becoming the first quarterback in franchise history to win two Super Bowls, it’s clear that Hurts’ legacy is only beginning to take shape.
