Just In: Big Update Regarding Bills QB Josh Allen

As the new season slowly approaches, the Buffalo Bills are preparing up for what they think will lead them to the final game and eventually win them the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Quarterback Josh Allen is a bright spot for the team, and the MVP-winning signal-caller is proving that he’s all in for the 2025 season.

Despite his busy wedding planning and preparations, Allen attended the Buffalo Bills’ OTAs this week, demonstrating his dedication to the team. A total of 20 NFL clubs began OTAs on Tuesday, May 27, with five more beginning on Wednesday, May 28.

Allen grabbed notice in some clips the Bills released of him online, in a good way.

Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen at OTAs

The Bills posted images of Allen from the OTAs on Tuesday, titled “Vinsanity.” Allen can be seen in the photographs wearing his No. 17 red practice jersey and looking ready to rock.

Followers left comments on the photographs, the majority of which praised Allen. One video on X that drew notice was Allen throwing the football to an unknown target.

“I’ve seen enough; second MVP season on the way,” one fan wrote. “I believe you mean MVP,” another responded.

Allen is also pictured with Vince Carter, a partial owner of the Buffalo Bills, on Instagram.

“My football team is owned in part by Vince Carter. “That gets me going, man,” one follower commented.

“Love seeing Vince Tracy and Jozy thrive in the next stage of their careers,” a different participant said.

“Half man half amazing it’s only right for him to be with the football version,” someone else tweeted.

Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills is No. 1

Josh Allen enters the 2025 season riding high as the reigning MVP, giving him strong momentum. In a May 7 feature by Bleacher Report, NFL analyst Brad Gagnon named Allen the No. 1 quarterback in the league. Honestly, are we even surprised?

Gagnon lays out a convincing case for Allen’s top ranking. While the Bills haven’t captured a Super Bowl title yet, he says it feels inevitable for the 2024 MVP.

“Allen has delivered elite performances consistently for five years,” Gagnon notes. He points to the Approximate Value metric from Pro Football Reference, which ranks Allen as the NFL’s most valuable player since 2020—well ahead of stars like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. And although Jackson is a dynamic runner, Allen has nearly double the rushing touchdowns—65 to Jackson’s 33.

Still, Gagnon admits the race is tight. He sees Allen and Jackson as neck-and-neck, the league’s premier MVP contenders heading into 2025.

“Allen has just been a bit more dependable and impactful recently,” Gagnon says. “But it’s a wide-open battle going into the new season.”
